The Review

The Samsung Demo Phone currently tops our rank of the greatest Samsung phones available, beating even the pricier iPhone Ultra Max Mega.

So unsurprisingly this is an absolutely fantastic phone. The design isn't massively changed from the previous generation, but most other elements have been upgraded. This is what we call a big boost.

Western Australia’s Batting Collapse: All Out for 53, Webster Shines with 6 for 17

Defending champions Western Australia (WA) suffered a dramatic collapse, losing eight wickets for just one run – a wide – to be bowled out for 53 in their One-Day Cup clash against Tasmania at the WACA Ground on Friday. The shocking performance leaves their hopes of defending the title hanging by a thread.

Tasmania’s Bowlers Dominate WA’s Lineup

Tasmania’s bowling attack, led by Beau Webster’s career-best figures of 6 for 17, tore through WA’s batting order, restricting them to the second-lowest score in One-Day Cup history. Webster’s six-over spell was supported by Billy Stanlake, who took 3 for 12, as WA was bowled out in just 20.1 overs.

The Collapse That Stunned Cricket Fans

Western Australia’s innings imploded from a seemingly steady 52 for 2 to 53 all out, with eight wickets falling in the space of 28 legal deliveries. The collapse featured as many as six ducks, as the lower order struggled to put bat on ball. None of the players from No. 5 to No. 11 managed to score a run, with the team registering only one additional run via a wide.

The batting lineup’s dismal performance included out-of-form Cameron Bancroft being trapped lbw by Webster, followed by Ashton Turner and Josh Inglis departing in quick succession. Hilton Cartwright, Ashton Agar, and Jhye Richardson were among those who failed to open their accounts, leaving opener D’Arcy Short’s top score of 22 as the only notable contribution.

Tasmania Secures a Seven-Wicket Victory

Chasing a modest target of 54, Tasmania made quick work of the chase despite losing three wickets for one run. Matthew Wade’s steadying presence at the crease ensured they reached the target in 8.3 overs, securing a seven-wicket win along with a crucial bonus point.

WA’s One-Day Cup Campaign in Trouble

The loss leaves Western Australia with a 1-3 record in the tournament, making their chances of qualifying for the final on March 1 slim. To keep their hopes alive, they must win their remaining three games and rely on other results to go their way. Their latest score falls just short of their lowest ever in One-Day Cup history – the 59 scored against Victoria in 1969.

Tasmania’s Season on the Upswing

For Tasmania, the victory marks their first win of the season after a previous loss and a no-result. Webster’s exceptional performance, along with Stanlake’s disciplined bowling, delivered a morale-boosting result for the team.
